Week III

Day 2 - no scale access
Windy day.  Not a fan.  Flat country.  Definitely a fan.
Warm up - .2 mile walk
Run - 2 miles
Cool down - .2 mile walk

Day 1 - 219
I walked 50 minutes Monday and it was such a beautiful walk.  The trail that I ran on Saturday had another direction that I didn't take so I took that direction.  Left instead of right, as it were.  Amazing decision.  It winded and turned and went over bridges like the running direction but then it came out at a lake.  It was sunny and a lot of people were out and about but that didn't bother me.  Gave me people to smile at.
Walk - 50 minutes

Day Seven - Week II
Okay so I didn't walk on Sunday.  Technically.  TECHNICALLY.  I did walk around a little when I was going to and from places.  So I probably got at least a half an hour of walking in, but I didn't not intentionally go out walking.  So I guess I take this as Monday's optionaly rest day and Monday was my Sunday walk day.  That works.  Slight rearrange of stuff.  I will not be derailed by this trip!

Week II

Day Seven - 200
Yeesh.  How depressing.  I guess I shouldn't have eaten almost a whole small pizza from Moose's Tooth.  I guess that's what happens when you get stood up.  Or at least that's what happens when I get stood up.  Lesson learned.  But at least I'm putting myself out there.  Even if I fail.  I'm gonna be positive.  Today is a walking day.  It'll happen.

Day Six - unknown weight
Today was an off day.  A few things went right, a few things went wrong.  The wrong seemed to overshadow the right.  However, I kept my promise to myself and did my running thing.  And I felt better afterwards.  Bonus.  This whole running making me feel good.  Kinda strange, but good.  Very good.
Warm up - walking
Running - 2.4 miles.  Ran on the trail RIGHT BY TERESA'S.  Perfect.  :)
Cool down - walking

Day Five - 217
I'm gonna struggle with eating on this trip.  I was able to tell the moment I got to town and had cravings for sushi, chinese, and wine and fanciness.  It's so frustrating loving food and loving that full feeling that comes from eating probably just a wee bit too much.  Anyways... today was a rest day.  I'm really starting to love my Fridays because they are rest days.

Day Four
Busy day, and yet I managed to fit my running in!  I crushed and bagged my cans.  The plane was supposed to be landing at 1:30 so I hopped on the treadmill at about 20 to one.  I ran my mile and a half, walked to cool down and then the phone rang.  It was Karen calling to say the flight was early!  Who knew that was even possible with PenAir?  I ran for the shower, ran out the door and was on my way to Anchorage before I knew it.
Warm up - stretch
Run - 1.5 miles on da treadmill, so not fun - I don't like treadmills anymore.
Cool down - walking

Week II

Day Four - 216
Today is a running day, and I don't know when I'll be able to fit it in!  I'm flying into Anchorage and as soon as I land I have to scuttle to a tattoo appointment.  Potentially problematic.  We'll see what gets worked out though.  I'm bringing my running schedule with me.  And I'm gonna do my damnedest to stick with it.  It's gonna take some will power and motivation.

Day Three - 218
Holy crap today was busy.  It's a good bloody thing that it was a run/walk or rest day.  I took the rest option.  Probably a good thing that I did.  I worked on crushing and bagging cans until 6 and then cooked dinner.  I was planning on relaxing and a box of seal showed up on our doorstep.  I also had to get some laundry done and then packing commenced.  Add in a trip to get rid of the scraps and some dog crap from the yard and it was midnight before I knew it.
Bearded Seal - Oogruk.  Yummy.

Week II

Day Two - cont.
The run was fantastic.  I had the kind of day that starts out with good stuff and slowly deteriorates to crap.  So by the end of the work day I was just miserable.  And wanted to cry.  So I ran.  And it was good.  And I realize I'm using a lot of so's and and's, and that's just how it is.  I must have pushed myself.  I ran an 11 minute mile and a 12.5 minute mile.  So under 12 minute average.  Kind of rad.
Warm up - Walk to bridge
Run - 2 miles
Cool down- Walk home

Week II

Day Two - 217
Much better feeling this morning than yesterday morning when I stepped on the scale.  I think one of my major problems is eating too fast.  I eat too fast and end up super full.  If I slowed down and let my body register that it has food in it's belly, and it's getting full then I would probably end up eating a lot less.  I'm thinking if I want this change to stick and I want to continue to lose weight and be healthier than I'ma have to bust my ass of that habit.

Sweaty
Day One - 220
Oof.  Getting on the scale this morning was a re-motivator.  Sunday really did me in.  I had pizza as a hang over cure.  And then nibbled on crap for most of the day.  Moderation.  One piece of pizza instead of three probably would have been a better decision.  Well, one or two Margaritas would have been a better decision than 3 or 4, but lets be realistic.  I'm gonna have 3 or 4.  That's just who I am at this juncture in my life.
Walk for one song - warm up
3 miles - run/walk
1 mile - run
Walk home from bridge - cool down

Week I

Day 7 - 216
Sunday the day of rest.  In my case the day of a 60 minute walk.  I was a wee bit hungover today from over-indulging in Margaritas the evening before.  And I over-indulged with pizza as a hangover remedy.  But I pulled out my big girl shoes and went for my walk even though I put it off till late evening.  Week I complete.  I start Week II tomorrow and this will be a true test of my dedication because I start traveling on Thursday.  Excited yes, I just have to keep my schedule.
Walk - 2.5 miles

Sunday this was my demise. No more!
Day 6 - 215
Kollin was supposed to spend the night on Friday and was heartbroken when I said no to him sleeping over on Saturday, but I stayed home all day Friday waiting for him to come over or call or anything.  I had even confirmed with him on Thursday.  Tough and mean auntie.  However because I stayed home on Friday night I was rested on Saturday for my run.  Good stuff.  At the end of my run I sprinted over the bridge.  :)  I can't sprint for very long, but I figure it's gotta help a little especially if I lengthen the sprint as my lung capacity improves.  Maybe this will help me build up speed.  I know the run/walk scene is supposed to help you build endurance so you can run longer.
Walk to bridge - warm up
 2 miles - run
Walk home - cool down

Week I

Day 5 - 215 lbs
Today is a rest day.  And I'm thrilled.  I was bad though and decided to eat a donut because it was a day old and it was like a quarter.  It was fucking delicious.
This is what my donut looked like.

Day 4 - 218 lbs
Thursday was a run day.  And let me tell you.... I had no interest in running.  Zip.  It was windy.  I'm so not a fan of the wind.  At this time of the year it's cold and that whole going against.  Far be it from me to be agreeable but I just don't like going against things like wind.  But my Mom was a motivated factor.  So I ran.  And it felt good. Which surprised me.  It still surprises me that I enjoy running sometimes and that it feels good.  Hopefully it gets to be a more consistent feeling.
Walk to bridge - warm up
1.5 miles - run
Walk about - cool down

Day 3 - 217 lbs

Wednesday I did a walk/run day.  I ran for a song, walked for a song, ran for a song, etc.  It was rather entertaining.  I believe I've decided this will be my routine when I have run/walk or rest days and I decide to run/walk
Walk to bridge - warm up
3 miles - run/walk
Walk home - cool down

Week I

Day 2 - 218
These pictures were taken.  Not too inspiring yet.  And damn terrifying posting them.  Hopefully this will keep me accountable to what I'm trying to do for myself though.
Walk to bridge - warm up
 2 miles - run
Walk home - cool down

My face doesn't look bad.  My arms are slightly chub.
Day 1 - 219
The first day of my running schedule.  I'm committing myself to 8 weeks.  And I hope to keep running after the 8 weeks are up, but at least this gives me a goal and an end point to make to towards.  I want to be healthier.  I want to look better without my clothes on.  :)
