Day four - I'm back into my smaller jeans. And down a belt hole size. Win. In addition to being a win it's also incredibly encouraging.
Day three - Tired morning. I couldn't drag myself out of bed at 7:30 like I wanted to. Had to settle with 8:30 and a 9 am work time. It was a long day and I didn't have a lot of motivation to run after work, but I really wanted to. Which seems like a contradiction but it's how I felt. :) My body was kind of saying no my brain was saying a huge yes. I went with yes.
Warm up - walk to yield sign
Run - 3.4 miles
Cool down - walk home
Day two - After today I've decided running schedules were not meant for people to do subsistence. Went to check net at 8:30 this morning. Cut fish and put it away till a little after 3. Then I helped Mom with some stuff and ran some errands. Before I knew it it was midnight. So no, I didn't keep to my schedule yet again. I did run Monday though. Maybe I'm a Monday, Wednesday, Friday runner as opposed to a Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday runner. I think as long as I get 3 runs in a week then I'm good to go. This is the last week of my schedule. I've been running for 8 weeks. I'm rather proud of myself. Three more days and then we'll see how focused I stay. If I start slacking I'll print another schedule but for now I'm going to stick to my 3 runs and a walk day with 3 optional days.
Documentation of my attempted to get healthier. And look a little better without my clothes on.

Week VII
Week VIII - Day one
Time has not been in my favor these days. During the summer days, there is always something that needs to get done. I think perhaps, I need to be more conscious about setting aside time for running. Or taking the time. However it should be worded. Recap of the past week and a few days.
Week VII - Day 7 - 216
Flew home. I must have been kinda pooped because I overslept and missed my check in time by like a half an hour. Due to the fact that it was travel within Alaska on PenAir this wasn't an issue and I was able to check in, sit on my tushy in the terminal, and get on the plane just fine. I got home, unpacked a box and got to work. I cut the grass and then started in on getting the top to side poles put up on the fishrack. I got 5 of 'em on before Mom and I were hungry. Which leaves 3 more to go. After dinner I finished unpacking and put laundry away and fixed the sheets and was tuckered out. I decided to Ocarina of Time it up instead of running. Silly panda. But really. I feel as though I accomplished a lot.
And as a personal victory, for the first time in a good bit, I was conscious of the quantities of food that I was inhaling while I was in Anchorage. And I did not put on all the poundage back on. I was exceptionally proud of myself.
Week VII - Day 6
Semi-busy day. Slept in after staying up fairly late. Bought and shipped another 200 or so pounds of stuffafa. Walked and shopped with Miss Chelsea Lorraine. Panda napped and then had a fantastic evening with a gentleman friend.
Week VII - Day 5 - 216
Whoa busy. But good. Fabulously good. Another early day. I might just switch my schedule to 8 am. I'm not sure how I voluntarily feel about giving up my 9 am wake up though. Got to work and got my head right into the game and finished my grant with like 4 hours to spare. Yeah buddy. I felt inordinately proud of myself. Hustled my hiney home to eat me some lunchness, pack and got on the plane to Anchorage. Momma got an order for 26 half sheet cakes amidst the 3 wedding cakes she's busting out this summer so I needed to go on a supply run and will be the filler and boxer for this endeavor. Soon as I landed, I was off running around. Pulled everything from Costco and did one Freddies run before packing and dropping it all off at Evret's. No time, no time. But I had time enough to go out to dinner with my big seester Shauntel. Crush is heavenly. HEAVENLY.
Week VII - Day 4 - 217
After work I had an hour to get my ass fed and geared up to go set net. I was like 5 minutes late. Slacker! Went for a boat ride in the ocean with Joe, Ashley and Greg. I was in heaven. We set two nets, hung out a little but no luck, and then cruised back. On the way back I saw a little seal head pop out of the water and then swim away. :) Home again, home again. Turned my compost and worked on the grant. Blink of an eye = bedtime. No run. :(
Week VII - Day 3 - 217
Ran today. I just felt it. I was a little faster than my normal time. It was amazing. Even though it was a short one.
Warm up - walk to yield sign
Run - 2.4 miles
Cool down - walk home
Week VII - Day 2 - 218
Today was a perfect running day. It was breezy and a little over cast. Not too warm and bug free! Although bugs are a little earthly motivation to keep your ass moving. Mom offered to come meet me at the end of the 3.3 run to the second stop sign and I happily accepted her offer for a change of scenery. After my run I picked a bouquet of bluebells for the Momma.
Warm up - walk to yield sign
Run 3.3 miles to second stop sign
Cool down - walk to beach and back
Week VII - Day 1 - 218
Happy Monday. No running. Or at least I didn't run. I think I was stupid tired cause I woke up at 6:30 for job related responsibilities. Let's just say this girl is not a morning person.
Week VI - Day seven - 220
This is getting pretty hazy. Remember back this far. I don't think I wanted to walk but I made myself take a little half an hour walk just around town. And it felt good.
Week VI - Day six - 220
Didn't run today because I ran on Friday. I tell ya. This whole week was one day off. Today was a rather successful garage sale and picnic however. I ended up burnt. :)
Week VI - Day five - 220
Run panda run! I ran today. I don't remember what route I did though. I guess I need to be more diligent in my updates. It's tough when you're busy though. And I don't think it was an incredibly long run. Hm... Only my body will know. Not my brain.

Week VI
Day four - Was supposed to run today. Instead I cooked and ate dinner, moved some foam insulation, cut and collected wood for the fishrack, looked for a chainsaw, and blinked. Suddenly it was after midnight. I guess I'll give running tomorrow a go.
Day three - Made time for my run today. Seems I'm off a day from my schedule. I'm a day early or a day late. Your choice. :) Mom let me run up into the hills today. She took the car and met me at the second stop sign at the base of the hill by Gram Janice's. Instead of just running up to the 1.5 mile marker I was able to keep going! It was nice to see something different, even if it wasn't much.
Warm up - walk to yield sign
Run - 3.3 miles
Cool down - walk and stretch
Day two - So the weight thing. Losing it. I have been weighing myself daily but it's more to keep myself in check so I don't get over 220. Around this day I think I was at about 218 or 219. Rather sad. My legs however are toning and my belt is a wee bit looser, but nothing major is happening in that department. I just am not mentally there. I don't want to focus on eating smaller portions. So I'll just continue to run. And hopefully my head will follow. I didn't run today. I was exhausted. I don't remember always getting this tired or being this busy in the summer. Working full time is definitely an adjustment. I did finish the hand sewing on the quilt for my Mother though.
Day one - Short run. 2 miles. I never thought that I would consider 2 miles a short run. It feels good.
Warm up - walk to yield sign
Run - 2 miles
Cool down - walk home
Day 7 - Guess who rested today? ME! Flew home and was still rather tired. I did stay out kind of late though. Tehee!
Day 6 - THE RUN! Marty and I woke up early. She early than me. And we got all dressed up and piled in the car. We picked up Gail, parked the car, and then got on the bus to the Sullivan Arena. Marty went right into her chute, I went into mine and Gail into hers. Chelsea found me about a minute before the race started. She ran the whole race with me. I kinda felt like she wanted to run faster at first but kept to my pace, and we didn't stop and walk once. I was so proud of myself for running the entire 5 miles. My time was 1:03:14. And my average miles was 12.6 minutes. Kind of awesome for a first race. I got a water bottle and dammit I'm proud of it.
Day 5 - Rest day. Love my Fridays.

Week V
Day 5 - 218
Rest day before RACE DAY!
Day 4 - 218
Today's run was infinitely better than the day before. I felt like I could run forever. According to Google maps I ran over 4 miles! Holeh. :)
Warm up - .3 mile walk
Run - 4.2 miles
Cool down - .3 mile walk
Day 3 - 220
Today was an optional day but I ran because I didn't run on Tuesday. There was nothing in my heart that wanted to run on Tuesday. And today my run was miserable. After about a half a mile I normally find my pace and just kinda truck along. Today I never found my pace. It was miserable. At one point I seriously just wanted to stop and cry. But I pushed through and finished my run.
Warm up .3 mile walk
Run - 3.3 miles
Cool down - .3 mile walk
Day 2 - 220
I was pooped today. Too long of a run on Monday or too much of a weekend with Peeks and Lara here. I dunno. But I didn't run.

Week V
Day 1 - 220 Ew.
Run/walk or rest day. This Panda chose to run. I might have pushed myself a wee bit much though. I need to keep myself in check.
Warm up - .3 mile walk
Run - 3.6 miles
Cool down - .3 mile walk
Week IV
Day Seven - 222
I'm seriously sucking at the eating healthy portion of this goal. Fucking yo-yo bullshit that I put myself though. I didn't want to walk today, but I went anyway and I was glad that I did. I always feel good after I walk or run, so I don't know why I hesitate some days.
Walk - 2.2 miles
Day Six - 220
Back on track and feeling pretty good. I didn't really lose any ground slacking off on my program when I was in Juneau. Hooray for me!
Warm up - .3 miles
Run - 2.8 miles
Cool down - .3 miles
Day Five - 218
Rest day! We put up a shed. Not so much on the rest scene.
Day Four - 220
PK wanted to go to the bridge and I wanted to go but I needed to run so I had him drop me off approximately 2 miles from the bridge. Perfecto.
Warm up - just kinda stretched
Run - aprox 2 miles
Cool down - walk around till I could breathe
Day Three
Took a rest day. Had to scrub the tub and rack some vino in prep for the visiting of the brother and his girlfriend.

Week IV
I stumbled a wee bit on my running schedule. But I refuse to let that deter me from my overall goal of getting healthier.
Day Two - no scale access
Home. :) There's no place like it. I feel very motivated here. I can control my out of control eating here. This is a fantastic and necessary thing. I need to be better about that when I'm traveling. Eat a hell of a lot less.
Warm up - walk to the bridge
Run - 2.6 miles
Cool down - walk home
Day One - I can't even type my weight. It's too depressing.
Today was a run/walk or a rest day. I meandered a teeny bit with Karis and we also did some power shopping. Doesn't really count. I guess this means it was a rest day.
The good news is that they're only about 10 calories a pop. However, I usually order them with a full dinner of something else. So basically ordering them just tacks on calories. And then of course the wine or beer that I also can't seem to say no to. Calories just mount up when there is fantastic food and booze around me. I need to practice moderation. Seriously.
Day 7 - Week II
Fail. Didn't walk. Should have done something. Marathon glee episodes and then a terribly made horror flick. Fantastic, but again... lazy.
Day 6 - Week II
Fail. Didn't run. I let lazy rule me this day.
Day 5 - Week II
Fail. Well not technically but I consider it a fail. Friday is a rest day, but I should have flipped it with Thurs.
Day 4 - Week II
Fail. Bestie was more important than running. I stand by this.
Day 3 - Week II
Rest day. I rested. I got back into Anchorage at about 10 pm and stayed up till 5 am reading. I love my life sometimes. That was one of those moments when I adored my life.
